Standing tall at a height of 3100 feet in the east of Karjat on the KarjatMurbad Road is the Peth Fort in Kothaligad. The prominent feature of the fort is the temple and a cave at the base and a chimney like tunnel to the top of the fort. A popular place with trekkers and best visited during and just after the monsoons to capture all the greenery and views of Karjat.
